Change your weeknights, and maybe your life.
All students at West Gate are members. Members support the school through regular monthly dues. There is no penalty for cancellation of a membership. We do not use binding contracts, and all memberships may be paused or canceled at any time, for any reason.
We have focused our efforts on creating a close-knit community since we opened in 2010. When you join West Gate, you are not joining a club or a gym, but an experience. When you attend a class, you are not a face in a crowd following along, but a serious participant in the shared duty of tradition. You are not a “customer” or a “client” to be kept at arm’s length. You are the school. Your dues keep the doors open and our culture alive. We ask each member to contribute dues according to their ability to pay, with standard membership rates at $135/month for new adult (12 years+) students in a single program, and a need-based approach for students who cannot afford the standard rate. Please note that our kids programs (5-11 years) are priced differently, as discussed on the kids program page.
All prospective students are welcome to try as many classes and programs as they like for a week, at no charge. This allows you to assess whether the school is a good fit for you. You do not need to make an appointment. Just show up in comfortable fitness attire 5-10 minutes before a class starts, introduce yourself to the instructor (we love new people!), and hop in.
Standard membership in one of our programs for new adult students runs $135/month, automatically charged to a credit card each month, for a period of 12 months. This membership, like all of our memberships, is non-binding and cancelable at any time, for any reason, with no penalty. Members for whom this rate is prohibitive may inquire about our need-based memberships as an alternative.
Multiple Program Discounts
Some members wish to study more than one art simultaneously, and may add an additional program for an additional $50/month. A student studying Kung Fu and Tai Chi, for example, would pay $185/month. Note however that students wishing to study Tai Chi and Bagua together do not pay the additional program fee, as these classes are offered together as a standard membership.
Members of the same family receive a progressive 20% discount for each additional member.
